Second Lieutenant John Foulkes MC.He was a member of the 2nd Battalion in 1918, and was wounded at Ors on the 4th November, during the fighting in which the poet Wilfred Owen was killed.John and Wilfred were both awarded the Military Cross for bravery on the 1st and 2nd October 1918, during an attack on the German Fonsomme Line. He survived the war.
